Project Brief

In collaboration with our web design partner Kevin Mellen, Big Imprint built a fresh new website for Big Grove Brewery.

Big Grove is an Iowa City area staple renowned for unique craft beer and a vibrant social scene. The original brewpub offers a full sit-down menu in downtown Solon, Iowa. The Iowa City Brewery and Taproom is an 28,000 square foot space that opened in 2017 on the site of a former lumberyard. Soaring ceilings, huge doors, and outdoor fire pits make for an eclectic and trendy atmosphere. Both locations serve Big Grove’s award-winning craft beer and thoughtfully-prepared food.

Outcome

The new website showcases Big Grove’s beer offerings using a custom-built interface that is easy to update as new brews are launched. An extensive online store allows the brewery to sell their wide collection of apparel and branded goods to a wide audience. The e-commerce store also syncs with the brewery’s retail point-of-sale, making store management a breeze. The mobile-friendly website also features an embedded feed that pulls entertainment events directly from Facebook, making it easy to ensure the site has the very latest up-to-date information.

We also built a distributors area where the brewery can publish information and resources that are only accessible to authorized resellers. The food menu and on-tap menu are integrated with SinglePlatform and Untappd, again making the website a cinch to maintain for busy restaurateurs.
