A year and a half ago, we created a modern and refreshed website for the Boys & Girls Club of Huntington Valley, and this is their client story.
The Boys & Girls Club of Huntington Valley (BGCHV) is an organization that serves around 5,000 kids each year, from preschool all the way to high school. They provide children with the best place to learn, grow, explore, and play, with many program opportunities available.
In the spring of 2023, Laura Portier-LaLumiere, Chief Advancement Officer at BGCHV, knew it was time to update their old website and give it a modern and refreshed look that better matched the BGCHV brand.
The BGCHV team reached out to Big Imprint for a redesign, and Laura said she chose Big Imprint because, “I loved the look of the other nonprofit organizations’ websites that Big Imprint had worked on over the years. It was great to see them supporting the organizations that I support.”
From there, the Big Imprint team went to work on project preparation, working closely with the BGCHV team to make sure the new website was easy to navigate and that the content was laid out in an easy-to-read and accessible manner. From that stage, we began diving into their vision for the website’s design with our design partner, Kevin Mellen. He took their ideas and brought them to life with a beautiful, bold, and fun design. Laura stated, “Big Imprint made the process incredibly easy. It was streamlined and simple. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly everything moved while working with them.”
Finally, it was time to show the Boys & Girls Club of Huntington Valley team their brand-new website. Let’s just say it was one of our favorite website builds of that year. Laura said, “It was like night and day from our old website! We were so excited to see the new website!”
The new website for BGCHV is now visually more appealing and tells the story of what to expect from the organization. Not only can you see beautiful photos throughout the website, but you can also view videos that give you a glimpse into different parts of the organization.
Since the launch of the new site, analytics show an increase in website visitors as well as an increase in the time visitors spend browsing the site. BGCHV has also seen a 25% increase in enrollment over the past year, thanks to a combination of digital marketing efforts, with the new website playing a key role.
What do we have to look forward to next with the Boys & Girls Club of Huntington Valley? In the next 12–18 months, the organization is looking to build a new space for the performing arts program. This program currently rents a location and is excited to have a permanent home within the BGCHV facilities.
